Made in Japan at the BKK factory, this hook from the S (for strong) series is made of heavy-gauge wire, 1.5 times thicker than a standard hook. It is very strong and extremely sharp. This hook is a hybrid between the krank and the curv shank. It features a slightly curved shank, a 15-degree angled eye, an inward-pointing hook point, and a wide bend. This hook is coated with a material called "slippery coated" in Japan, a smooth coating that allows for better penetration into the fish's mouth.
